A buddy of mine owns a franchise restaurant. I will assume that many franchises are the same way with a direct response to anything that happens that could negatively affect their business.
An example would be if your local multi-billion dollar hamburger joint had a case of bad beef. You would see a direct press bombardment of good articles relating to the company, how they are handling the problem, actions taken, resolutions. A campaign larger than any presidential campaign ever imagined.
First if you are a franchise owner for a janitorial cleaning service and have such forms. Please email me at admin@ijcsa.com with a list of what you have. I will purchase them from you at top dollar.
Secondly, I think it would be good to develop a list of press releases for use in the form area for every possible situation that could affect our business. Some of the devastating things that could happen to our business would be below. The items listed below have never happened to my business, but reading the janitorial news daily, some of these below have devastated other services.
Janitor / cleaner involved in sex scandal with child.
Janitor / cleaner involved in high value theft.
Janitor / cleaner involved in violent act against customer
Janitor / cleaner involved in serious car crash resulting in death of family and children.
Janitor/ cleaner involved in selling drugs on school premises.
Janitor / cleaner accused of home invasion.
Janitor/ cleaner involved in terrorist act.
Janitor/ cleaner involved in rape case of senior citizen, child, anyone.
With the following in mind, we should have a set of press releases available for the just in case scenario. What else have you seen or do you think should be added?
Now! I posted all of the above for a simple reason. If you background checks on your employees, and have proof. A simple press release on how you have background checked your employees and subcontractors will more than likely do the trick. Your press release can read as the following
Here at Joe`s Cleaning Service we pride ourselves on making sure that every employee gets a thorough background check and police clearance for your safety. We have a background checks on file for every employee at the office available for viewing. In the course of our several years serving the community at Joe`s Cleaning Service we have never had a employee perform any type of occurrence or action that caused such endangerment to the public. Since such action this employee has been terminated.
We would like to inform the community and our current customer base we are a reliable service provider with a proven track record of performance, safety and honest caring employees. We would also like to insure the community that we will continue to screen employees to make sure the person cleaning your home or business is of a good character. Please do not allow this one bad apple, which has been removed from the bunch reflect you opinion of our company.
Thank You,
