I've owned a small janitorial company here in Canada for 5 years now and in a small city where people are cheap. I just received a call and was sent a 15 page proposal to clean a 10,615 sq ft research facility for a university. They have so much legal jargen on this proposal it seems like a letter from a lawyer.
The classroom wing will be used on a daily basis from Sept. - Apr. and more irregularly during the mid-Apr. - Aug. period. This may be one day a week some weeks and possibly five days per week at other times.
At times catered meals may be associated with meetings, classes and workshops, requiring special attention. the research wing is most active during Apr. to early Oct. period and less active during the winter months when as few as one or two people will be on site at any one time. It is anticipated that the daily cleaning needs within regions of the building can be adjusted to the activities level within the building.
This facility has VCT and carpeted flooring through out. They have broken the duties down to four catagories, daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly. We're suppose to provide all the paper products, soap for the disspensers, trashcan liners, cleaners and disenfectants etc. basically everything, they don't want to be bothered with any part of the cleaning duties.
They want the floors spray buffed weekly and refinished twice per year. They want the place spotless every fingerprint removed snow removed from walkways before 8AM as needed, chalkboard brushes, clocks, casings, I mean every square inch spotless. Can anyone help me with this proposal?
They have 9 catagories that we have to submit to them, they are as follows: 1) Executive Summary 2) Organizational Resources 3) Qualifications / Experience 4) Services Defined 5) Methodology 6) Pricing 7) Previous Experience 8) Sustainability Initiatives 10) Additional Info (Optional)
If someone could help me with a bid like this it would be much appreciated, usually we only supply the cleaning solutions, trashcan liners and any equiptment needed for the job(s) at hand. I can email the propsal to look over if needed the deadline is this Feb. 6, 2008.
Thanks Gary K.
