Your proposal folder more than likely will be in competition with other business proposals. If your proposal is more detailed than the competitions your chances of winning the bid I believe are highly increased. From a past thread, What are you putting in your proposal folder? 1-Cover letter 2-Specifications 3-Contract 4-Picture of staffer that will be assigned to their building, including a one page biography 5-Picture of supervisor, including a one page biography 6-What ever type of floor they have a couple shots of floor jobs that reflect their flooring 7-Monthly newsletter, past 2 months 8-Testimonials from 3 customers and contact information 9-Insurance Bonding Information 10- Letter from the insurance company of no claims on file 11-Letter from my Bank Manager- Describing personal reference and account history, good standing 12- Magnet business cards 13-My personal photo and biography 14-Prices for cleaning they did not request. 15-In closing letter. 16- IJCSA Bid Seal Letter17-Residential cleaning coupons. All packaged in a really, really shiny folder usacleaning.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=membersmarketing&action=display&thread=1131143157

That's a wonderful information. Thank you Kevin. I have one idea about number 17 and I would like to hear your opinion. Most of my accounts are commercial accounts, so I am going to offer every office manager (facilities manager or other person) who is responsible for hiring cleaning services for the office a coupon. But because I don't do residential, I will give them carpet cleaning and tile cleaning coupon. Another thing I'm planning to add to the coupon is 50 % discount on carpet or tile cleaning. By doing this I can give office manager some personal benefit and if he/she doesn't choose me right now for the office cleaning, she can try my for her carpet/tile and maybe he/she will choose me in the future. Also I can add to the coupon free carpet protection. So it will be a good personal approach to influence right person. I know I will lose money on that job, but I think it can give me more chance to get commercial account. What do you think about that?
