Do you ever get calls from customers wanting you to only clean part of the house? I don't do these kind of cleanings any longer. I have learned that these clients really can't afford a cleaning service so they call and ask us to only clean kitchen, baths, and maybe one other room, and they want a dirt cheap quote on it. These kind of cleans still take up a morning or afternoon time slot, plus the driving time to and from, so they are really not worth the time. Patti

I do get these calls infact I have one now that really irritates me. She dosent want any bathrooms or the kitchen done she just wants it vacuumed and one bathroom floor mopped. The first time I went to this house it took 5 hours. It wasn't worth it at all , but this woman is so old I feel bad for her. Then we went back the second time and it took us 2 hours. Well she called yesterday and didn't want us to come till the 4th. I'm not sure what to tell her to still be nice, but let her know that if I cannot keep the cleaning up then I will have to charge her more.
I hate to drop her as my schedule isnt even full yet, but I jsut got my website and started advertising on several websites.

These jobs are irritating and my employees usually don't like cleaning them because the people are to picky.
But, they're great fill-in jobs, just make sure they understand they don't get your prime time appointments! And always have a minimum charge to ensure you make a profit.
When you get more clients that pay more and are easier to work with, juggle your irritating client to another spot. If they don't like being moved around, they'll usually quit on their own and you don't have to get rid of them.
