I have a question. What are turnovers? Like apartments? If so, how much should I charge for apts/turnovers? I’m supposed to submit a bid to an apt complex and I wanna make sure I don’t screw myself. What do u think? I'll have a 2 person team working. Also, how do I go about subing carpet work?

Turnovers- A baked pastry. I prefer apple my favorite recipe is below, using only the finest Michigan apples... But I think your reference is to move-out cleanings, base it on the hourly pay that you believe to complete the job. Make sure to ask management if all junk and debris will be removed first or is that your reponsibility. In regards to subcontracting A very simple process of hiring another contractor to perform the work for you at a determined price. You would tell the carpet cleaner how much he gets a square foot, then you upcharge the client. Apple Turnover Makes about 5 dozen turnovers. Dough: 6 cups Michigan flour 2 cups Crisco shortening 2 tablespoons Michigan sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup ice water 2 Michigan eggs 1 package active dry yeast 1/4 cup warm water (115 to 120 degrees) Filling: 6 to 7 large apples (Jonathan, or Northern Spy), peeled, cored and diced Butter or margarine (1 teaspoon for each turnover) Cinnamon-sugar mixture To make the dough, cut the shortening into the flour. Add the sugar, salt, water and eggs. Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and combine with the flour mixture. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and form into a ball. Cover and chill 8 hours. When ready to make the turnovers, roll out 1 tablespoon of dough at a time on a sugared, not floured surface. Roll pastry into a circle about 5 inches across. Roll out the number of turnover circles desired (the pastry keeps up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator, so make only the number you wish to have fresh, or freeze the turnovers). Place 1 to 2 tablespoons diced apples on half of each circle. Top with 1 teaspoon butter or margarine and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Fold pastry up over filling and press edges together with a fork to seal. Trim crust. Poke the center of the turnover with the tines of the fork to vent. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. when u say upcharge, u mean give a higher rate then the actual cost, correct? thanks for the recipe.

Yes go by the square foot method, Lets say a 1000 sq. ft of carpet you charge the customer .15 cents a sq.ft. or $150.00 you pay the carpet cleaner .12 cents or $120.00 This really pays off on large jobs lets say 10,000 sq. ft commercial your making $300.00 for just letting the carpet cleaner to work for you. win-win situation. In most cases all you will have to do is let the carpet cleaner into the building.
