It's so hard this time of year in the residential cleaning business to clean homes with kids home from school around the holidays and company in the homes. There's no way you can thoroughly clean the homes when you have to clean around people. Anyone else have this problem and what do you do about it? Patti

Yes, I think anyone that does residential has to work around lots of people in the home from time to time. All of the customers that I had had up to now are very understanding in situations like that, after all, THEY are the ones in our way....They have just been thankful that we were still able to provide them with cleaning service so close to the holiday. ;D

I Know What You Mean Its a Problem for Residential Floor Maintenance too.
Anyway,This Year we have a Green Shirt with a Happy Holidays Printed and the Company Logo of Course. Last Year it was Red. And Santa Hats Instead of the Usual Hats. Last Year by Wearing the Shirts and Santa Hats the Crews Made More than $400.00 in Tips or Gifts Alone doing both Residential and Commercial Floor Cleaning either from the Homeowners,Office Managers or Owners or Property Managers. This might Give your Staff some Energy Boost. Why Not Try It. They even did not ask for Tips just by being polite courteous.

I like that hat and shirt idea! Does anyone have problems with customer's Holiday budgets cutting cleaning service out? I do. My customers are also good about staying out of the way.

Have an entry on your Service Agreement that clearly states rooms must be vacant while being cleaned.
Then remind your client when it becomes a problem. If you have teams or employees, you can explain this is a safety issue for your employees and your clients.....don't want anyone tripping over a vacuum cord or slipping on wet floor.
