What are the best mops to use on the differnt types of flooring? What about the best products?
For laminate & tile floors I have been using a generic pine cleaner for floors and hardwood, some natural spray on & wash off stuff.

String mops win everytime for me. I've used microfiber but found them to take a but longer because they don't move as freely on some types of flooring.
On the other hand, string mops work the same on all flooring.
Products - I found one that leaves a natural shine (many older women that prefer vinegar liked mine better!) and is pet friendly.
Products are different in every state/country and I found that your janitorial supply cleaning stores all prefer something different; usually the owner's preference.
Part of your job as a business owner is to never stop trying new products. They're always changing and sometimes a new product will win over your all-time fav!

I've only been cleaning for 3 years and have had a lot of fun experimenting with cleaners. For tile or lenoleum floors I use a squirt of dish soap and a few drops of an essential oil ( peppermint, lavender, lemon, rosemary, etc...) to a bucket of hot water. The whole house will smell great! I machine wash my mop head after each use. I towel dry my bucket and place a plastic lawn bag over it to keep out dirt and lint.

I just bought a microfiber mop with replaceable heads. Hopefully this will work Although, gailm said they don't move as fast... We'll see. Anything is faster than hands & knees.

Good morning: You are further ahead to use a neutral ph cleaner on the floor and use an aerosol to leave the smell. Any pine based cleaner, (Pinsesol etc., or the addition of scented oils will leave a film on the floor after it dries. As well, using a neutral ph detergent protects you from damaging the floor. For example, vinegar is a mild acid and can serioulsy damage marble , slate etc. with continued use. Linoleum, made entirely from natural products is very susceptible to differences in pH. A higher pH detergent, Mr. Clean, etc. will turn this floor yellow. it can be repaire but only by a qualified technician , you basically have to strip the floor of its factory ECT with a Neutral pH stripper and then reapplya satin finish to it. Either that , or if in small spots. try leaving bright halogen lights on if overnight. Hardwood, should be damp mopped with care, only light, light dampness. Too much water will cause the tongues to warp and the floor to lift. Microfibre mops work great, but because of the additional area in the fibre, they load up quicker. You need to rinse them more often and they will work fine. Maybe catch a bit more on textured porcelain or slate.

Thanks for all of the info. Bill.
What is a good neutral ph cleaner I could buy? I definatly don't want to ruin someones flooring over time with Mr. Clean and similar products.
