This place was just awful when we started cleaning a month ago! Walls need paint and baseboards need replaced as they would NOT come clean, but everything else is coming along nicely. Wanted to share pic's of the floors we did this weekend:

Hey,
Maybe you can explain to me how to do floors like that. I clean a clinic right now that needs redone on there floors but there patient rooms and bathrooms and entrance way is the only areas with floors like that.
I want to give them a bid on doing them and see if they will go for it.
I am also going to have to start charging them more because of gas prices and i believe i really under bidded myself from begining.
Building is 4000 sq. ft. clean 3 nights a week, 102 miles a week figured i am spending 33.00 a week in gas alone, they do supply cleaning supplies. Right now i charge them $130.00 a week.
Any ideas of what i should do as far as the price of how much?
Thanks in advance
Tina

Awesome Job Actually, it is the floors that are uneven. John noticed it right off. Did the best he could with what he had. Actually, this is only the second floor job John has done since he was in the Navy 10 years ago. The other was for his dad's dry cleaners. No pic's of that, but turned out good. Natalie

The invoices have the fields: Service Date, Description (of Item/Service), Amount. This way they have a detailed invoice. Um, you are charging way low on a 4000 foot. The one pictured is about half that, we clean weekly @ $81.00 per visit and we give them 10% off regular janitorial maintenance so we can use them in advertisements and we have a framed ad + brochures and business cards in their lobby. Twice a week would be $63.00 per visit or $124.00 a week, 3x's a week $45.00 a visit or $135.00 a week for this account. As far as gas prices, we have added a 'fuel surchg' of $5. to $10. to our accounts that are over 5 miles away and same with carpet cleans. If the price of gas goes back down, the surchg will go away. This clinic has the hallway pictured plus 6 small exam rooms & a small storage/break room, about 900 sq ft, all with the same flooring. We charged $400.00, less wages & supplies/chemicals of about $200.00 we made $200.00. My advice is to use a high quality stripper so you don't have to use a floor machine to get the existing wax off. We used Quasar products throughout. Also used a "Widget" with blue pads for build-up on the edges and base boards. Did not use the recommended all cotton one time use mopheads (they fell apart while stripping at the dry cleaners and made a real mess) but the blue banded mopheads. We used no machinery on this job, one employee and John to strip for 3 hours, then John alone put down 2 coats of sealer and 3 of finish in about 6 hours. The process is pretty simple, strip, seal, finish (notice I did not say WAX, lol). Takes about 30 minutes dry time between coats of sealer and 60 minutes between coats of finish. We allowed about 20-24 hours to dry completely before we put the furniture back in the rooms. Just a note: My father bought a buffer/burnisher 20 years ago and never even took it out of the box. He is giving it to Crowz next week when he comes to help with our re-location. Floor machines are soooooo expensive! Natalie

Natalie,
Is that price without doing the floors (stripping, waxing)
I only empty trash on the therapy side of building once a week and vacuum. I knew i did bid too low had to kick myself in the butt for that.
Well, i did turn in the price increase to the hospital yesterday (that is where payments come from). I am going to charge them 150.00 a week.
Thanks for information on the floors.

oh while on subject of medical clinics does anyone have a sample survey for clinics?
I want to get there feed back on paper, they already been telling me i am doing a great job compared to the other cleaning. The last cleaner was making the nurses empty there own trash and wouldn't pick up those ear things they use and throbes thingies.
