We had a small discussion on the chat board Sat. night about this subject and thought I would post this. Take a cushion or a pillow and put it in a clean large trash bag . Get a vacuum with hose attachment. Close the bag tightly with hose inserted into opening. Make sure vacuum hose end is touching the cushion or pillow so that bag will not restrict air flow.Turn on vacuum until the cushion/pillow is completely flat from all the air being vacuumed out. turn off vacuum and remove hose while keeping bag opening sealed by holding it closed with your hand. Hold an aerosol can next to opening. It could be Lysol or deodorizer . Loosen your grip making a small opening for air to go back into the cushion/pillow. while doing this spray short amounts from aerosol into the opening. This will draw the mist into the cushion/pillow as it fills back up with air. You can also do this without aerosol because fresh air is filling back into cushion/pillow as well. Remove cushion/pillow and now you have a fresh smelling cushion/pillow. It really is an impressive sight to watch and your customers will be amazed at watching this whole process. It is really something how small the cushions/pillows will get in this process. Try it at home first. If you have a question as to wheiter material is sensitive to the aerosol just let the air be your deodorant. Just though i would share this. I do my own cushions about once every two months.
