Hi all, I wasn't as carefull as I though on the floor job I recently completed. I got dome overspray on some of the baseboards and a door way. Not sure if it was the stripper, from the buffer or from me using the mop to lay down the finish.
The base boards cleaned up ok, but the door did not. Any ideas on how to clean the spots off of the door?
Thanks, Gene

What is the door made of?

Sorry, it is a wooden door, with a dark stain finish.

Ouch, First just try hot water and soap, maybe a green scrubbie, hopefully it is just wax spatter. Does it look like the spots (white spots) have actually discolored the wood or are they on the surface. You might have to touch up the door with a little stain.

Ok, I will try the hot water and saop tonight when I am there. Thanks for the quick replies, Kevin!
Will let you know how it works out.
Thanks, Gene

Hopefully its just some wax, and the stripper has not discolored the wood. Good Luck

if none of these things work try bees wax and warm water.

Will give that a try, the hot water and soap didn't do it.
Thanks, Gene
