Mrs. Davis
Thank you for allowing Purity to take care of your floor care needs, listed below are instructions for your cleaning staff on maintaing the gloss finish.
-New mops should be used, and changed monthly. Rule of thumb if the mop is gray.. throw it away.
-Neutral floor cleaner available at Home Depot, Sams club, any Janitorial supply store should be used.( Neutral cleaner is acid free, a good example of a domestic neutral floor cleaner is Murphys Oil Soap, which also may be used.
-Removing heel scuff marks, very simple have a wooden pole and purchase a tennis ball. Cut a hole in the tennis ball and place on the end of the pole. When a scuff mark becomes present just rub it off with the tennis ball. Many professionals will also place a tennis ball on the end of the mop pole.
-Cold water only when used for mopping floors.
-Winter time- Salt from sidewalks, and wet matting will damage the apperance of your floor. Mats should be removed nightly from floor area and allowed to dry. Spot mop the entire traffic area.
Also in regards to a floor care agreement, If you choose to have us take care of maintaing your floors quarterly a simple service agreement will be drafted. The price will be $325.00 quarterly. This includes maintaing your floors, stripping and waxing, buffing.
Once again Thank You, we are pleased to serve you.
Sincerely,
Kevin Carnahan P.S. Dont forget as a Purity customer you also receive a discount on other popular services, carpet cleaning & window washing.

I've been doing floors over twenty years and just learned something new. Never heard of tennis ball to get marks up. I will try that. Also Kevin you mention cold water only, when mopping. It was explained to me once that hot water will expand the pores in the finish and any dirty water residue on floor can go into the pores. As it cools it shinks back and dirt is inbeded in the finish. Is that true?

Ive heard that about the pores, also heard that hot water just removes the finish faster than cold.

As Well, if you use hot or cold water, some of the solvents, and other needed ingredients in your detergent, stripper etc. will flash off when they hit the warm water. You are decreasing the effectiveness of your detergent.
