Blind cleaning?

What is the best way to clean mini blinds? Take them out and hose them off, or vacuum and use damp rags? Also what about all the high tech cleaning systems, do really work and are they worth the investment for a small cleaner?

We established a relationship with a blind cleaning company that uses the large ultrasonic cleaners. We take the blinds down, bring them to their shop , they clean the blinds , we reinstall. My cost is minimal for the cleaning, charge the customer for retail blind cleaning.

I can tell you one thing, leaving them hanging to clean them is not a good thing I had to clean 10 blinds the other day, just the front side. I dusted them off and then used a damp cloth and it was horrible. I wanted to take them down and hose them off, but the lady didn't think that was necessary. I could have done a much better job had I removed them. I will not do it this way again, no way.
