I have recently been given the opportunity to bid a new manufacturer. We did the new construction clean up and they have been operational for approx. 6 months. it is 50,000 sq ft. 16,000 sq ft tile- 3 coats annually 18,000 sq ft carpet semi- annual 6 single BR 252 windows semi -annual general cleaning nightly 5 nights a week my estimation is 4 employees x 30hrs @ 10 hr= 1200wk supplies and equipment = 350.00 wk strip and wax 16,000 x .35 = 5600.00 carpet cleaning 18000 X .15 x 2= 5400.00 divide 12=450.00 windows 252 x 6. x 2 = 3024.00 would I be close is my bid per yr. 97000.00 or 1.97 sq ft.? If you see areas that I'm not being clear about please help me. I live in Arkansas. Does this seem realistic?

Sounds realistic. Maybe a little high in labor, all your employees making 10hr, but if your customer wants quailty they may pay for it.
Do you think you can sell it? Do you think your customer is ready for a 100K yearly cleaning bill?

I met with the company today. I feel real oggd about the walk thru. I am very familuar with the building because we did the New construction clean up before they moved in. but I am a small company I dont have a lot of large accounts, I have large retail accounts. I dont have enough large accounts that I could afford to squeeze thru a year just to get the account. I just want to be competive on my bid, I am going up againtest some janitorial companies that have other plants, they can compromise their bid . I f you have another plant you can afford to low ball this one for a year.
