Is it ok to use anothers service business name if they are in a different state?

Yes it is OK if you file a DBA (Doing Business As) in your county and they grant you the name. If the other service has a website, even if it is in another area, even Country, and you plan on getting a website there will be competing names. You might want to take that into consideration. There is a couple good threads of information here on name selection. Once I find it, I will post the link.

You really should come up with your own custom business name. Business names are hard to think of and many business owners take great pride in what they have come up with. You can use a variation of the name you found. Also be sure to check to see if the name has been trademarked. Good luck! Stacy www.businessformsstore.com
