Just heard something, is it true you can remove water stains on wood with mayonnaise without hurting the wood? Im guessing yes, because it is oily. Hmm.
Thanks, Linda

I have never heard of or tried this. From my experience I can't see anyway that this would work.
The staining would either come from surface water/moisture, meaning that the seal has been compromised and the surface would need to be retreated (ie sanded, stained and sealed).
or
The staining came from beneath, meaning it is under the seal or has compromised it and the same process would ensue.
Please repost if you find that mayo works though!

I just posted and realized that you didn't specify wood flooring, only wood in general.

Sorry about that. I was talking about wood as in stands, cabinets, ect... It does work on those. I dont know about wood flooring. If it is from a water glass or something like that I dont see why it wouldnt work?

I have also heard this, Linda. Possibly from my Readers Digest condensed home solutions or some such thing. If you try it, let me know. (Otherwise I would gladly set a sweaty beer on my coffee table and try it myself)

lol, that is one sure way to find out My tables are made of Rattan (sp?) so that wont work The only other thing I have that I could try it on would be my dining room table and I just cant make myself do it Sorry. If I come across a stain I will give it a try though and let you know. I have used pledge on glass rings before and it worked, but took a few times. Linda
