I went from getting calls everyday, to maybe 2 a week. Servicemagic even slowed down. Same thing with the website. Whats happening? The site was hot at one time and seems to have fallen off. I gotta make this money. Any ideas?

;DHello james: Don't wait for the phone to ring, ring someone else's phone. Call the clients that you have and suggest a discount or other benefit for any referrals that they provide. Do some cold calling. I hate it , everybody hates it, but sometimes it is necessary. All business goes in cycles, hang in there.

James I noticed that your website needs to be optimized better. The title in the code on your home page just reads Roman Cleaning Services. You should never use the title space for your business name. It should be used for your main keywords. Mine is "Cincinnati house cleaning since 1998." And your descriptions need to be changed. The description is what people see when they do a search. You should have keywords in your description and make people want to go to your website. My home page description reads "Are you ready for a worry-free house cleaning experience? We have 8 years experience cleaning fine homes in the Cincinnati OH and Northern KY area along with excellent references. Maintenance cleaning starting at $75.00.

James-
What about contacting local Funeral directors? Perhaps make a flyer up for their clients (as in the family member making the plans) to take with them, when they come in to take care of the details. I know and understand that the flyer will need to be tastefully done. I certainly would think that you could gain steady clients through this manner. Most people don't want to deal with cleaning up the home that hosts the wake or gathering. Not to mention - cleaning the home of the elderly that has past away, most families will go in and get the things they want and tell you to dispose of the rest and clean it ..to get the home ready for sale.
I have a contact that refers me a one time client about once a month. I am planning on expanding the marketing in this area in the future.
Also, what about creating a contact with local retirement homes. Again, you can help these folks with the transition into the retirement facility.
Thirdly, perhaps establish a contact with moving companies.... same idea in mind as above.
Good Luck

Your NOT sending a flyer...you are personally meeting with the local directors of the retirement homes...or centers or villages and thus giving the opportunity to present the flyers. Personal contact is key. Your level of interest in helping these folks needs to be the same for what you want out of it. I feel and have seen that most will not do business with those that they have not met nor refer anyone else to do business with some that just sends them a flyer. Personal Contact ..take the time to do this and then follow up with the director with a call and a letter.
Good Luck

So I meet personally with the director of the facility and say.......? Sorry for the questions. I'm just trying to get a complete understanding. Am I asking them to refer me to clean the houses that the people are moving of or what?
