Hi,
I got a request for a monthly bathroom cleaning (2.5 baths). The house is 18 miles one way. I am not sure how to bid something like this. Any advice would be great.
Thank you Trina

I wouldn't even bother with an offer like that, I had one once and the time and fuel to get to the job wasn't worth it. If they're willing to pay your trip then I'd say go for it. Don't forget make it worth your trip, 18 miles is a long way just for cleaning bathrooms once per month. Sorry I couldn't give more advice, but personally go high or stay away.

If you could find someone who is living nearby and would like to take the job with 50% of your fee, then go for it.

The only way that I would take a job that is small is if I have another one close by. Bid anywhere from our min of $65 to $90.00. $90 is high but I have had some bathrooms that dirty and full of clutter that took me almost 3+ hours to clean.
I travel an average of 20 miles to the first job but the 2nd-3rd are within 5 miles of each other. Our clients know that we have a min. charge of $65.00 that applies no matter if it takes us 30 min to 1.5 hours, so if they are willing to pay then I would do it if I had another client close by.
Just my 2 cents- Kat
