Just want to express my feelings on something for a minute. Now first I want to state this is not a IJCSA member. Just some whiner calling the hotline looking for a conversation and to lazy to post for advice.
Talking to this new service provider who received a office cleaning contract. The problem is they bid the account low, way low, probably about $40 per visit to low. So this contractor, if they can even call themselves that, wants to walk off the job, without notice, because they feel their not getting their fair wage.
Who made the deal? You did. You agreed to take the cleaning job at the price specified. BOO HOO! You did not bid the job right, and it`s not fair that you miscalculated the work.
Guess what! Live and learn, but do the right thing. Give your customer proper notice, 30 days that you would like to raise the contract or discontinue work. All in all in your once a week, weekly cleaning contract you lost $160 bucks! What is the satisfaction of knowing you did the right thing worth?
I`ll tell you what, finish out the deal to the best of your ability, and i`ll give you $160
The very last thing you do though, IS WALK OFF THE JOB!! and leave this customer hanging. You finish out your thirty days notice with respect and do the work that you stated you will do. You send a bid increase letter in along with your notice. Atleast then at this point the person who hired a cleaning service will have a somewhat respectable feeling towards future services.
When your the one who wrote the contract, don`t whine about it.
Don`t be a whiner! Whiners feel they always get the short end of the stick, and everyone and everything in life is unfair. Somehow someone else has it better than them or some unfair advantage. Do not call me if your a WHINER! You will simply not like our conversation.
and to you my friend......
You Made The Contract, Honor It!!!!!!!!

Whats your opinion? You ever walk off a job that you wrote the contract for?
