I have been researching the errand service business and have decided to add this to the cleaning business. Has anyone done this and if so how do you like it? Would like some opinions on this. Patti

Patti- Does your State regulate Errand services? I know in PA it is governed by the Public Utility Commission. www.puc.state.pa.us/ I have a client that is in the process of purchasing a business and she is has to jump through many hoops just to get her deal to go through. Legal mumbo jumbo. I am guessing it depends on the type of errands you are wanting to do that the PUC has a say in regulating this business. Transporting People? Groceries? Picking up dry cleaning? A million and one things to choose from. My client has told me that the business even can arrange for worker's comp employees to be picked up and taken to their doctors appts and court hearings. From what she has told me it seems to be a very profitable business. This coming from a lady who sold her last biz for a few million....a landscaping and snow removal biz. Here are the links to Ky psc.ky.gov/ and Ohio www.puco.ohio.gov/puco.cfm Good luck

Kathleen I won't be transporting people. The insurance would cost too much for that. I am just going to offer the basic errand services, grocery shopping, pick up dry cleaning, buying gifts, etc. Patti
