I have a question. My wife and I live a small town of about 3000 people and would like to start a cleaning business. Our biggest concern is how much to charge people when we go to place a bid. Ive seen people say 85 bi weekly, do they mean the clean their place bi weekly or does it mean they just charge 85 dollars per cleaning and clean bi weekly. I'm just trying to do this the right way.
This is very new to both us , I have a full time job and will keep it until things begin to take off. Is there a sight we can go to that shows us what all we should offer for a standard cleaning and how to figure what to charge? Finally, in a town this small is this a type of business that can still do well?
I close for now, but ill sure Ill have more later, this sight seems very helpful from what Ive seen so far.

Finally, in a town this small is this a type of business that can still do well? If I do bi-weekly...the cost is per visit. Even though you live in a small town, you have surrounding areas you can cover.....my small business covers 5 counties.

I can't really help you as I do not know much about he residential side of things. Your best bet is to do a search here on "Residential Bidding", or something similar, and I'm sure you'll find a good deal of information to help you on your way.

That person is charging $85.00 to clean a home every other week (twice a month). If they were cleaning once a week they would most likely charge a little less, if they were cleaning once a month they would most likely charge a little more. That does not mean they charge every person the same to clean bi-weekly (every other week). It depends on the home like the size, the clutter, how many children, how many pets and even the location. Try this link, it is to the residential area. You will find alot of anwers you may be looking for.... usacleaning.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=ResidentialHope this helps, Linda
