Hello,I live in Fl. right at the Ga. line I am trying to get my license in Ga. the city has informed me that because I live in Fl. I can not get a license,I know for a fact many companies that are from Ga. go right over the line to work in Fl. and people in Fl go into Ga. We also own several rental properties in that county and they said it did not matter we would have to live their, I can't believe this, I told the person that I know all the contractors that come their to do work that they don't all live their, she said certain types of contractors can get a license?? I am going to the city manager next. Has anyone ever experienced any thing like this? Thanks, Susan

Susan, I have never heard of this either. Is it required for you to have a GA license? I asked because we do work in GA too and have only been asked to provide our FL License and Insurance. I am not sure if this wrong or not but that is all that's asked of us. May I ask what part of GA are you talking about?

I finally got approved for my Ga. license, I had to show a copy of my Fl. license first, this has been going on for days, I think a few of them at the city don't really know what they are doing.....I'm just happy I got approved. : Susan
