in my area in the U.S. (massachusetts) most charge by the area, the average price range is .25 to .35 it comes down alittle as the job gets bigger. for instance I priced a carpet today, 12000 Sq.Ft. some of the other companys would charge .15 for it. but since I am gonna do incapsulation using a cimex on it, I should get done faster. so i was messing with the price, right know I'm in the proccess of redoing my prices. so I charged them .085 Sq.Ft. so I'll get $1020.00 for it. so I'm hoping to be out in 4 -5 hours. that way I will get $205 - $255 per hour. if you are charging by the time, what are you getting for hourly? how is your compitition charging?

As long as you dont lose money thats Allright. A good Estimator would be Classified as Follows. 1. Estimate in Square Ft. 2. Estimate By Rooms 3. Estimate per Area 4. Estimate per Job 5. Estimate per Contract 6. Estimate per Week,Month, Quarterly,Every 6 Months or Yearly 7. Estimate by Diffuculty of Job 8. Estimate by Hourly 9. Estimate for Long Time Contracts 10. Estimate for One Time Clean 11. Estimates for *%^@+ Clients 12. Estimates for Good Clients Since we are not a Franchise the main purpose is to get the Customers and keep them for life. If they are Satisfied with the Service and Price they might eventually be your Long Term Clients. This vary accordingly some measure 40% on service and 60% on price and vice versa. I have attached an unbiased comparison about Franchise and Independent Business and its up to you to make your Judgement and your own Interpretation. carpetbuyershandbook.com/franchise_or_independent.htm

Hello there!
Just recently started a business and we be obtaining some residential work. Do you have a formula as to what to charge. Thank you! I live in Richmond, Via. I assume it depends on the sq footage, etc.
Help!
