Hi, No loss of key. I have a lot of houses and i'm trying to build up some commercial, which right now I have one Dr's office. If I need to get it later I think I could have it added on.

Hi, I just purchased my insurance last week with Allstate. They were able to get me one million in general liability ins. @$452.00 a yr. It's through Acuity Ins. I guess Allstate can shop around with other companies. I'm happy with it!

If I'm getting $150.00 for cleaning a house and I train and hire someone, do I pay them hourly (how much per hour) or by the job? I also need to take out taxes which I will have my accountant do for me. This house takes me 5 hours. If they are getting paid $7.00 per hour that's only $35.00. No one in their right mind would do a house that big for $35.00. Please share your thoughts about this. Thanks Links Of Interest [ Cleaning Forms ] [ Bidding Software ] [ Article on Bidding ]

I know, economical is not the word I wanted to use . What are some good quality products that you use, but are not really expensive. And , what's your choice of vacuum?

I would like some links to where you get your cleaning products for your commercial jobs. What is economical yet a good price? Also can you recommend a good brand of vacuum cleaner for commercial use? Thanks, I appreciate all the information.

I haven't seen the office yet. It is still being built and will be ready Oct. 1st. I clean the Dr.'s house and they asked me about doing the office when it opens. I wanted to start commercial anyway so this is a good start for me. I heard that the going rate in Missouri is $15-$18 a sq. ft. I am guessing it would take 2 hrs. Also, I was told that on top of the sq. ft. price I need to add cost for employees, supplies, insurance, and taxes. We are guessing somewhere around $900 a month. Is this how you're suppose to figure everything? Thank you for answering so quickly.

Hi, I'm a little confused. I have an office of 2,700 sq. ft. If I charge 15 cents per sq. ft. that would be $405.00. Now, is that weekly or monthly? This is a brand new Dr.'s office, and I am figuring 5 days a week to clean. What if they want 3 days a week by some chance. ? Thanks for your help.

I want to start hiring help for my residential cleaning business. I clean 2-3 houses a day, and have people wating for me to call and give them an estimate. I get all my clients by word of mouth. Business is good! Do you think there's more profit in the commercial cleaning than the residential? Or should I do both?

I think it depends on where you live. I called a few window cleaning businesses. One charges $6.00 per window(inside & out, screens and sills) another charges $5.00. So, I started asking my residential customers if they were interested in having their windows cleaned. Gave them a quote, and am ready to do windows. If I have a senior citizen I charge $4.00

Hi, I need some expert help in knowing what to use to clean a slate shower. I needs to have the soap scum build up removed and probably hard water stains too. Then I think it should be sealed. Your quick reply is much appreciated. Thanks, Kathy

I would like to hear how each of you got started in your own cleaning business. Are you satisfied with the way things are going? If you could go back and change anything, what would it be? What are your future goals with the business? Would love to hear as much info as possible.
