As for right now, I get paid daily either by check or sometimes cash. Of course, I'm the only one doing the work. When I do start hiring help, do I tell my clients to start mailing me a payment? I had a friend help me for a few months, once, and the check was always right there in plain view. She knew what I was making, and she was only getting $7.00 an hr. to help. She seemed to be ok with it though. How do you handle collecting payment?

Hello, I would like to have some banks to clean, and would like to know how to go about getting them. Who do I ask to talk with when I go in. Also is there a way to find out what the going rate is for commercial accounts in my area? I do a lot of residential and have one Dr.'s office. I need to build up the commercial side of the business now. Thanks for your help. Kathy

Hi, I've been cleaning residential for 25 years now. By my self. I just created a business name and all the other necessary legal stuff and have my first commercial account. I want more commercial accounts, and will then start with an employee or two. Is it a practical idea to just go into a business and say something like this,"Hi, I'm Kathy, with Kathy's Kleening, and I was wondering if you are satisfied with your current cleaning service?" I would then proceed to tell them about my services and offer to give them a quote right then and there. I would have the bid sheets with me, and could leave it with them along with a business card. Then follow up if I needed too. Please let me know what you think, or what other ideas you might have. Thanks

Hi, I have the same question as Linda. If you give a bid of lets say 60.00 for once a week office cleaning, and then they ask how much for 3x or 5x a week, do you give them a break because of more frequent cleanings? Thank you, Kathy

Hi, I saw this topic about bidding commercial accounts and the method used, but now I cannot find it. I think it was answered by Kevin and I remember it being quite lengthy. I want to print it out if I can find it. Please help! Thanks, Kathy's Kleening

Hi, Would it be possible for you to send me a commercial task list too. I have been looking for something like that, and will be bidding on my first Dr.'s office next week. Thanks so much. Kathy
