I am folowing your advice, so hopefully down the road people will start calling, my residential window cleaning is tying in nicely with my house cleaning. Business's are a lot tuffer to get than I thought. I will be in the yellow pages in June, maybe that will be a boost.

I am still trying to get my foot into the door so to speak for, commercial window cleaing. How do you convince customers to clean there windows? What has worked for others. Also price, is 2 dollars a window for store windows too low?
Thanks

The $15 special has already helped me gain a $40 bi-weekly customer and Eight referral's! I use it to introduce my house and WINDOW cleaning service. Then bid on the job also I give customers a 48 hour rain guarantee. These nine leads were from knocking on fifty doors and talking to just twenty people! GET OUT THERE GUYS! GOOD LUCK!
Prices here for a 2000-3000 sqf house inside and out run fifty to seventy dollars.
I don't have a clue on store window prices any rough ideas?

I am also advertising $15 window cleaning regardless of house size on my house cleaning flyer through the month of april. Hopefully this will gain new customers willing to pay for qaulity service at my regular rates during the summer months.

How does a new window cleaner compete with established cleaner's? Here in pocatello a lot of business's say they already have cleaner or don't clean there windows at all! I have seen some bad windows. One is at a stereo store and you can hardly see through them!
I have passed out cards to twenty business, just to see what happens. Only two showed some interest. Ten did not want different cleaners and 8 did not care if there windows were dirty!
What do I do?

What is the best way to clean mini blinds? Take them out and hose them off, or vacuum and use damp rags? Also what about all the high tech cleaning systems, do really work and are they worth the investment for a small cleaner?
Thanks for comments and experiences!

I target middle income mostly. Two working professionals without time do there own cleaning. Here Idaho high income nickel and dime you and lower income can't pay me for my exspenses plus labor/time. Middle income is usually good with flyer's and newspaper advertising. Ii have not been in the yellow pages, but will be soon! I find middle income by watching real-estate prices and local construction and advertise directly by door to door and flyer's then use the local paper for name recoginition as well as vehichle signs.
GOOD LUCK!!!

I think $70 was very fair for bi-weekly. I get at-least $60 for a similar weekly job here in Idaho.
Good for you sticking to your prices.
